Caught by the Fuzz

Well, It happened again, just when you thought it was all over, there’s some people on the pitch, they think it’s all over and all that….

Saturday it was, and the new Noddy Car I have I drove down the road, now there is no point in lying here, this time I was not speeding. My crime, came to a roundabout, and for the third junction in a row I was behind someone who had indicators on his car for decoration purposes rather than usefulness. So without indicating he turns right and I am behind him. I pipped my horn, just once and waved my hand at his car, no obscene gestures, and moved on. However I looked in my mirror and a Police Van, tore down the road at breakneck speed behind me. AGAIN ! Further on he indicated I pull over, so being a responsible motorist and having my daughter in the car I drove 100 yards or so to pull off a busy main road onto a side road.

I was of course wrong, I did of course refuse to stop according to the Police Officer and I had also given an offensive gesture to the car in front at the aforementioned lights. Now those who know me, know I am mild mannered 😉  but no, this was not right so…..

I got out of my aforementioned Noddy Car and had a heated discussion with officer who proceeded then to bring out his partner, I did not abuse someone I explained and I am not stopping on a busy main road with cargo as precious as my daughter in the car. A bit like Brian Clough, one of my personal heroes would say …“We talk about it for twenty minutes and then we decide I was right.”

They left, I calmed down feeling somewhat aggrieved, remember the good old days when they would just give you a ‘producer’ and be on their way.

And my neighbour died Saturday afternoon so that’s a funeral to attend in a week, hopefully its not as fraught as the last one I went to, where I managed to cry like a baby and collapse into two women’s bosoms.

That was Saturday, its now Tuesday, I was off today, so did very little and its my Birthday tomorrow, well actually today now.

You got to know when to hold em…..

Took down the late Deep Stack game on SKY, first win in quite a while and nice to know I still got it ! 33 runners and I came first, the money wont change me I promise, about £24 profit for my £2 game but it all helps.

1  Oopnorth – £26.40 2  gra57 – £16.50  3    ASAPRocky – £9.90  4  redstar7 – £7.26  5  JINKIE7 – £5.94

That followed a day abusing David Camoron and his ilk from the last day of the Conservative Conference, whos speech I watched from in the Sands Centre on an exercise bike and who I tweeted while I should have been lifting free weights.

Until I was disturbed by that young lad, the good looking one who looks as strong as an ox and is also a thoroughly nice lad, as he smashed a machine out of its hinges not realising his own strength. It was funny though seeing the staff so upset.

Apparently I am also heading for London on 20th now for the TUC anti austerity march, maybe it is about time I stopped moaning and starting acting, although catching a bus at 330am and spending a day in that London isn’t something appealing right now.

Tomorrows Thursday, Creative Writing class and I look forward to the critique of my murder mystery story from the tutor,, watch this space…..

I fought the law……

And the law won, of course. On my journey home Monday night, well early Tuesday morning, I was stopped by the Police. They incredulously claimed I had been speeding, when I saw they were two handed and also had a friend with a TV Camera pointing in my face I had to presume they were right. Perhaps 40 in a 30 zone but it was a fair cop. Problem came when I offered up the fact that I that I had a bald tyre and the small Policeman said I had 2 options, a fine and points or get out, change the tyre and proceed home. We compromised, I told him the car ws getting scrapped, which it is and that I would promise not to drive it the next day or until it was repaired. This I did, I  will not be repairing it, no point spending another 60 quid for 3 weeks.

So I must say an early farewell to my 14 year old lump of silver grey steel, we have been together 7 of those years, making our acquaintance after the January 2005 floods drowned my other version and also my house.

An expensive folly is a BMW but it was also fun, daughter is devastated as I won’t be replacing it with a Lambourghini.

All in all not the best day.

Well that was that, on to the small red car of which I cannot name, the one with the coffin on the top….

The rest of Tuesday went a little better, a lie in and a few hours sorting out that other good idea I had with the football programmes…

That will take some time. Tomorrow is Wednesday, Wednesday means the gym and who knows what else will be thrown in.

I will let me know tomorrow…
